Good Neighbors community outreach and Food center
George Camilletti manages and maintains the Good Neighbors Community Outreach and Food Center.
During the 2019 year, the dedicated food center volunteers gave 18,564 hours to assist more than 13,045 households, which included 39,575 individuals, (4,030 seniors, 20,886 adults, 14,659 children) with groceries, personal care and dental care supplies. In addition, many of these families received pet food, cleaning supplies, household items, books, diapers, wipes, layettes, formula, baby food, blankets, schools supplies and Christmas gifts. More than 1,000 families visit our food center every month.
The Good Neighbors Food Center is located on the corner of Goodyear Boulevard, Malasia Road, Ruckel Road and Bingham Path. The Food Center mailing address is 1453 Goodyear Blvd, Akron, Ohio 44305. The Food Center entrance is located at 1456 Bingham Path, Akron, Ohio 44305. The Food Center is open Monday through Friday from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. We close for federal holidays and when the schools are closed due to the weather. Visits are permitted every 30 days with a referral and identification.
